Popular entertainer and self-professed “7 Star General,” L.A Lewis is now a wanted man after failing to show up at his court hearing on Monday regarding charges of defacing property.

Lewis has been engaged in a long-standing feud with the National Solid Waste Management Agency (NSWMA) after being accused of defacing several public spaces with graffiti across the Corporate Area. After becoming a no-show for his hearing yesterday at the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court to answer charges regarding the matter, a warrant has been issued for L.A’s arrest. L.A has previously been fined JA$70,000 for 7 breaches of the National Solid Waste Act for his alleged actions; issued a September 5th date to pay the fines. When he failed to pay the fines by that date, Lewis received a court date for September 19th where the case was set for mention.

When hearing about the warrant, Lewis said he was completely unaware that the police were even after him; claiming that, “I didn’t even get a paper to go to court…The Solid Waste Management dem have my number & my address & I don’t about this court matter.” However, L.A said that he’s willing to talk to the police given the fact he hasn’t committed any of the crimes he’s been accused of.

Meanwhile, L.A continues to signal his intent to become Member of Parliament (MP) for West Kingston; filing paperwork to try & make his candidacy official. Despite his intentions, he implied that JA$100,000 was left at his doorstep by an unknown person asking him to drop out of the race & not make a mockery of the campaigning process.
