Internationally acclaimed Reggae singer, Miguel Orlando Collins, better known as Sizzla Kalonji is not dead despite speculation to the contrary.

Rumors spread across the internet early Saturday afternoon that Sizzla had died; causing a scare amongst several of his fans. This news comes nearly two months after the Judgement Yard singjay was involved in a serious motor cycle accident in Runaway Bay, St. Ann.

Sizzla suffered several broken bones and internal bleeding related to a ruptured liver as a result of the accident. Eleven days later, he was released from hospital & has been recovering at home ever since.

However, some websites and DJ profiles posted erroneous reports that Sizzla died on Saturday. On Saturday evening, fans took to Facebook & Twitter to express their shock at the news, “So people saying Sizzla is dead, but I can’t find anything online!” one Twitter user wrote while another tweeted “I PRAY this is [false...] because he’s one of my favorite artists.”

Upon further investigation, it was reported via lalate.com that one of the sources of this illegitimate report was someone who previously reported false deaths of celebrities such as soccer superstar, David Beckham & French singer & record producer, David Guetta. The fake Sizzla story is apparently the same as the death stories of the aforementioned public figures.

It was just two days earlier that Sizzla insisted that he was close to 100% health following the bike accident and was set to unveil two new videos for singles off his 65th studio album, “The Scriptures.” His latest single, “Cleanse My Soul” was released via iTunes outlets across Japan and France earlier this month.
